The Water Department will be replacing approximately 10,000 feet of water distribution piping in 2018. These projects replace water piping that is reaching the end of its useful life. Water services will be renewed to the meters and new fire hydrants will be installed. These projects will improve water system service reliability and fire protection capacity for these neighborhoods. Funding for water main replacements comes from water service charges. The Water Department strives to minimize road closure and interruption to access and we appreciate the public’s understanding of the disruption required to complete this work safely. Design by Engineering Dept.: Construction by Water Dept.: Estimated cost is $500,000: Funding by Water Capital Improvements fund. Mainline replacements may begin in March and are anticipated to conclude in October and will include the following locations:
- Chokecherry Drive
- Mahogany Drive
- Pinyon Drive
- Aspen Drive
- Cedar Lane
- El Rancho Boulevard from Hiline Road to Park Lane
- North Johnson Street from Fremont St. to Center St.
- South Johnson Street from Center St. to Halliday St.
- West Clark Street from the Portneuf River to 1032 W. Clark St.
- West Center Street from Johnson St. to 1004 W. Center St.
