In response to changing traffic conditions, the City of Pocatello obtained a $205,000 traffic safety grant to improve the intersection of S 5th Avenue and Jason Street, with the City paying for 7.34% or $15,047.

The scope of the project is to extend the existing median, reconstruction portion of the sidewalks, establish a crosswalk, install a rectangular rapid flashing beacon system, and to improve the street lighting.

This project will be designed in-house, and construction is anticipated for Spring 2021.
