Hawthorne and Quinn Intersection in Progress

The project at the intersection of Hawthorne and Quinn is making progress. Crews are placing stormwater management equipment and preparing a new road base for the intersection. The construction team has worked around sewer lines, gas lines, water lines, and conduit for this project.

May 15, 2023

Construction at Hawthorne Road and West Quinn Road intersection to install a traffic signal will be moving into phase two. The intersection is now closed and will remain closed through the summer. The project is expected to be completed in August 2023. Thank you to residents and community members for their patience and accommodations throughout the project, as this project has been a priority of the City. The intersection has been open since phase one of the construction was completed. Utility work has continued with gas lines, irrigation lines, power lines, and fiber lines all being impacted by the updates to the intersection. Stormwater facilities, retaining walls, etc., are all currently under construction.

April 17, 2023

Construction continues to the intersection of Hawthorne Road and West Quinn Road. Crews have installed a new stormwater management facility and irrigation system. The intersection is currently open to through traffic while crews update the stormwater drainage system to help manage runoff in the area. This portion of the project is expected to be completed by the end of April.

March 27, 2023

Phase one of the project at Hawthorne and Quinn Roads is complete and the intersection is open. The first phase updated irrigation systems, removed trees and grubbed the side of the road, installed stormwater systems, and updated several utilities. The intersection will be open, with some work will be done in the shoulder of Hawthorne Rd. Phase two of the project will begin in June.

March 7, 2023

The project to install a traffic signal at the intersection of Hawthorne and W. Quinn Road continues to progress through phase one. Trees have been removed and irrigation pipe installation has begun.
